It seems that women in past have been as same active in the world of music and stage arts as they are today. Despite the fact we think that human society was way more conservative about forty or fifty years ago, women were trying to prove themselves as equal to man, probably more than today, and they wanted to be present in every kind of humans activity. Women bands weren't so popular few decades ago but we could say that today's world of music is shaped by women.

Here you can take a look on how women bands looked like in past, some of photos are more than fifty years old.

Biggest Movie Flops Of 2011

Many Hollywood studios will be all too happy to forget 2011, which witnessed a troubling dip in moviegoing for much of the year at the domestic box office. There were several high-profile flops that lost tens of millions, including "Mars Needs Moms" and "Cowboys & Aliens."

Studios split grosses with theater owners, so even if a movie makes as much as its production budget, its still in trouble, not to mention marketing costs. And, after several record-breaking years, the domestic box revenues are running 4 percent behind 2010 levels.

Here's a glance at the movies largely rejected by audiences.

Mars Needs Moms - Studio: Disney - Release Date: March 11, 2011 - Budget: $150 million - Worldwide Gross: $39 million

Sucker Punch - Studio: Warner Bros. - Stars: Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens - Release Date: March 25, 2011 - Budget: $82 million - Worldwide gross: $89.8 million

Zooey Deschanel At Her Cutest

The big blue eyes, that peachy complexion, her quirky style, those darling bangs, all those things, combined with her great sense of comedic timing and even a sweet singing voice, make up the total "adorkable" package that is Zooey Deschanel. She's now on TV every week in the Fox comedy, New Girl, which in its very impressive first week nabbed higher ratings than the season premiere of Glee.

Zooey Claire Deschanel (born January 17, 1980) is an American actress, musician, and singer-songwriter. In 1999, Deschanel made her film debut in Mumford, followed by her breakout role as young protagonist William Miller's troubled older sister Anita in Cameron Crowe's 2000 semi-autobiographical film Almost Famous.

Deschanel soon became known for her deadpan or "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" supporting roles in films such as Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Bridge to Terabithia (2007), and The Happening (2008). She then began playing lead roles in films, including Yes Man (2008) and (500) Days of Summer (2009).

For a few years starting in 2001, Deschanel performed in the jazz cabaret act If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies with fellow actress Samantha Shelton. Besides singing, she plays keyboards, percussion, banjo and ukulele. She also often sings in her films. She married Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard in September 2009; the two separated in November 2011. Her older sister, Emily Deschanel, is also an actress and stars in the TV series Bones.

Here, check out why fans just can't get enough of her. Zooey Deschanel: A-List Adorable

Zooey and Her Tambourine, 2008. Deschanel is an actress as well as a musician -- she's one half of the acclaimed indie duo She & Him (the "Him" is singer/songwriter/guitarist M. Ward). Pictured: "She" performs at the 2008 Virgin Mobile festival in Baltimor

Bérénice Marlohe - The New Bond Girl

Bérénice Marlohe (born May 19, 1979) is French actress and model. It has been confirmed that Marlohe will play Bond girl Sévérine in the twenty-third James Bond film, Skyfall, set for release in 2012. She was noticed in such TV appearances as Père et Maire, Femmes de loi, Equipe médicale d’urgence.

Keeping with the theme of hiring obscure European actress/models for Daniel Craig to bang, Berenice Marlohe, the new Bond girl in the Sam Mendes directed Skyfall. Considering I couldn't tell you a thing that happened in the boring-as-shit Quantum of Solace, I'm guessing this is good news? Maybe? I dunno.
